Our Director
Dr. Omar Ali Sherman is a Senior Consultant Pathologist. Born and raised in Mombasa, Dr. Sherman went to do his Bachelors of Medicine and Surgery at Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences in Pakistan. He then did his Masters of Medicine in Anatomical Pathology at The Aga Khan University in Nairobi. Dr. Sherman completed his Fellowship on Lymphoproliferative disorders at the University of Siena (Italy). He is a Fellow of The College of Pathologists for East, Central and Southern Africa (FCPath – ECSA).
Dr. Sherman holds a Certificate in Healthcare Management from The London School of Economics.
Dr. Sherman has held several Clinical and Academic leadership positions within East Africa having being the Head of Pathology at Aga Khan Hospital Mombasa and The Head of Pathology for Aga Khan Health Services Tanzania. He was also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pathology at Aga Khan University. He has published in several Peer reviewed medical journals.
