I am Dr Omar Ali Sherman, a Senior Consultant Pathologist and the Managing Director of Labora Diagnostics. Born and raised in Mombasa, I earned my MBChB from Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (Pakistan) and my MMed in Anatomical Pathology from Aga Khan University, Nairobi. I completed a Fellowship in Lymphoproliferative Disorders at the University of Siena, Italy, and am a Fellow of the College of Pathologists of East, Central and Southern Africa (FCPath–ECSA).

I hold a Certificate in Healthcare Management from the London School of Economics, and have served as Head of Pathology at Aga Khan Hospital Mombasa, Head of Pathology at Aga Khan Health Services Tanzania, and Clinical Assistant Professor of Pathology at Aga Khan University. I have published in multiple peer-reviewed medical journals.
